Christmas Chair Massage at a Local Intermediate School
Wellness Warriors & Wisdom decided to honor the teachers and staff at C.T. Koontz Intermediate School in South Asheville at Christmas to bring them a little Christmas joy and spirit. As many teachers have shared with me, the holiday season can feel a bit chaotic as deadlines are needing to be met and students get a little more rambunctious in eager anticipation for the Winter break! What better way to remedy that chaotic and stressful feeling than some Christmas Chair Massage?!
Ashley Echevarria, owner and massage therapist at Wellness Warriors & Wisdom, and another massage therapist often volunteer monthly at the school to bring some TLC to the teaching staff and show their appreciation. This Holiday Season they decided to make it extra special and included games and prize giveaways including essential oil rollers, warming neck wraps, gift certifcates for massage sessions, and more! The event was a hit and everyone walked away a winner and feeling a little less stressed.
Meet The Yomassage Dream Team!
Together, Ashley Echevarria and Stephanie Stone are changing the way we practice wellness and self care in Western North Carolina and beyond. Yomassage is a cutting edge wellness modality that is new to the mountains and these ladies shine with excitement as they lead their sessions with their clients. Yomassage is restorative stretch with massage mixed in to allow for a better, healthier stretch. They also have themed meditations and teach their clients about the benefits of mindfulness and tuning into their bodies. Yomassage sessions can be done solo or in a small group setting similar to a yoga class.
Ashley Echevarria is a licensed massage and bodywork therapist and a certified Yomassage therapist with an extensive medical background. She is specialized in helping people with pain relief and brings a unique understanding to her practice that allows her to guide her clients to achieve a higher level of function in their daily lives. Ashley chose to train in offering Yomassage because she found herself referring her clients to yoga and a mindfulness and meditation practice over and over. With Yomassage she can help them put these recommendations into practice.
Stephanie Stone is a certified Yomassage supporter and is specialized in mindful touch. Stephanie also has an extensive medical background working in healthcare as a Certified Medical Assistant. She brings her experienced hand to each client and is an expert in assisting with each person's needs to achieve the best possible outcome in each session. Stephanie has been praised for her gentle, sure presence and touch.
